First of all, I would like to share my job hunting experience, I submitted two companies at the end of April this year, one of them is Mercedes Benz, and the other one is a very hot gaming company right now – Mihoyo. The position of Mercedes Benz is 3D UI/UX, which is a position in the R&D department, requiring production and execution, and requires experience in rendering games or films and rich experience in realising 3D graphics, in which I am a perfect match, as well as mastering the production of animation and special effects.
The position in Mihoyo is an international visual design planner, Mihayou is a global enterprise, a Chinese company that keeps exporting to overseas. They need me to be responsible for the planning and production of international animation for the game, which is more inclined to propose good plans, play my own strengths in visual, animation and plot, and make cg films.
The ending is that both of them are very satisfied with my ability and made good offers, so I would like to share some of my preparation for employment, first of all I aimed at the game industry in the beginning, so I participated in extracurricular game project training and production in the first year, in the postgraduate stage, I participated in the production of a total of three minigames, mostly art and copywriting parts, one of which was the leader. I was the leader of one of them, and one of the game projects got the first round of investment and set up a game studio in the US. I think love for an industry or a thing will bring a lot of rewards, and some great companies will also value this. Secondly, I was involved in some freelance work in animation during my studies, which gave me a lot of real-world experience, even if some of the projects didn’t turn out very well. But it gave me the opportunity to keep trying while having some income.
In the process of constantly doing projects, I have accumulated not only experience but also a lot of friends who trust me, and I have had a lot of opportunities with their recommendations. One of them is the Mercedes Benz job. After a good friend who had worked with me on a project recommended me to Mercedes Benz, I was contacted by a headhunter to ask if I would like to go to Mercedes Benz.
In addition to these, I also put my CV and work on recruitment platforms such as Collage, and that’s how I got some of my projects.
